Serendipity

Sunday morning; everyone is comfortable enough to stay at home, enjoying their day off before starting to work again on Sunday. In this country people work from Monday to Saturday. A woman’s salary is always lower that man’s. In this country too, there are only two seasons which always stay strong. It is either very hot, or very cold. If it’s very hot, you can easily get exposed to sunburn, and if it’s very cold then you need at least three layers of clothes to stay warm outside. Here people have freedom choosing their religion own and belief. We tolerate one and another and never actually really care, there is no social interaction without any specific reason. Small talks are nothing   and only uneducated people do that. Back to this present time; myself. Graduated student majoring civil engineering. Minggu pagi; setiap orang nyaman untuk tetap tinggal di rumah, menikmati hari libur mereka sebelum kembali untuk bekerja Senin nanti. Di negara ini orang bekerja dari hari Senin hingga Sabtu. Gaji perempuan lebih rendah dari laki-laki. Di negara ini pula hanya ada dua musim yang tak akan pernah tanggung. Apabila tidak panas sekali, maka dingin sekali. Panas sekali sampai kau bisa terkena “sunburn” dan dingin sekali sampai kau perlu sekiranya tiga lapis pakaian untuk tetap hangat ketika keluar. Orang-orang bebas memilih agama dan kepercayaan mereka. Satu sama lain saling menghargai dan tak peduli, tak ada interaksi sosial tanpa tujuan yang jelas. Obrolan basa basi sama sekali tak ada nilainya dan hanya orang-orang tidak berpendidikan yang melakukan hal tersebut. Kembali di situasi ini; diriku. Lulusan S1 teknik bangunan.
